Oma, viime kesänä kasvattamani minttu on loppunut. Itse asiassa lajikkeita oli kolme, niistä tuli tuoreena ja myös kuivattuna loistava tee. Opin juomaan tuota teetä kylmänä myös.

Minttu on monivuotinen. Kasvulaatikoissa pihalla ei vielä näy uutta kasvua. Varmaan, kun palaan Sandiago de Compostellasta 12.5. yöt ovat lämmenneet Suomessa ja näen kuinka minttu on talvehtinut.

Wellu, koulukaverini kävi tänään kylässä. Hän lupasi käydä kirjastossa ja lainata yrttikirjan. Kesällä voimme poimia luonnosta kasveja, jotka sopivat teeksi. Eeva lupasi kerätä minulle nokkosta nyt keväällä hevosaitauksensa vierestä.

Kuivurilleni on paljon käyttöä.

Out of Mint

Mint that I harvested last summer is out of stock. There were in fact three different species and they made an excellent tea both fresh and dried. I learned to drink that cold too. Mint is perennial. There are not yet visible new beginnings  in the growing boxes. Surely after I am back from Santiago de Compostela on the 12 of May nights have got warmer and I can see how mint has hibernated.

Wellu, a school friend of mine visited me today. He promised to go to the library and borrow a herb book. In the summer we can pick  herbs from the nature that are suitable for tea. Eeva promised to pick nettle now in the spring time for me near her horse yard. There is a lot of use for my dryer.
